The Alta Via 1 has become one of Europe's most sought-after treks, and demand for beds along the route now far outstrips supply.

Here's the complication: each rifugio opens its booking calendar at a different time, mostly late in the year, and the popular ones fill within days of opening. Booking the route yourself means monitoring multiple different huts and hoping you catch each one in time. Miss one, and a single unavailable bed can reshape your entire itinerary.

That's the work we do for you. We track every hut's opening date, hold established relationships with the rifugios along the route, and request your beds the moment each calendar opens.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1: Reserve your place (today). Fill in the short form below and pay a €150 per person holding deposit.

Step 2: Receive your full trip proposal (within days). We'll contact you to confirm the details of your tour and send a complete updated proposal with all trip inclusions and any extras you request.

Step 3: We book your huts (when rifugio calendars open). We secure your accommodation and services hut by hut, the moment each rifugio opens its bookings.

Step 4: Confirmation by 15 November 2026. Once everything is secured, you'll receive your confirmation. A 30% payment is due at this point, with your €150 per person deposit deducted.

Step 5: Final 70% is due (45 days before your trek). Then all that's left is training and packing.

If we can't confirm your booking by 15 November 2026, your holding deposit will be refunded in full within 7 days.

FAQ

What does the €150 actually get me?

Quite a lot of work on our side, honestly. Your deposit is what lets us commit real planning time to your trip before it's confirmed, building your route and proposal, tracking each rifugio's opening date, and requesting your beds the moment calendars open. It's the same preparation we'd do for a confirmed booking, done months earlier on your behalf. And it's not an extra fee - the full €150 is deducted from your 30% confirmation payment.

What happens right after I pay?

You will receive confirmation and a receipt to your email. We'll then contact you within a few days to confirm your preferences, collect further information so we can send your full trip proposal including all your preferred/requested services.

Can I choose my exact dates?

We will do our best to get your preferred date, if you have some flexibility it always helps. We confirm exact dates with you before booking the huts.

What if my preferred dates aren't available?

We'll offer the closest alternative. If nothing works for you, we treat it as us being unable to confirm — full deposit refund.

Do I need travel insurance now?

Not yet - but we strongly recommend it from the moment your booking is confirmed.
